    Frequently Asked Questions:

When is my home ready to be put back together?

Answer: The process of drying is the most important thing. Your home needs to “dry out” meaning all debris, affected by water, needs to be removed. The slab and wall framing need to completely dry out. You can pick up a Moisture Meter at any home improvement store. Remember the first time the areas start to show less moisture there will probably be a “bounce back”. Tico will help you determine when it is safe to begin rebuilding.

Drywall, paint, flooring, baseboards…What else will I need?

Answer: Most customers forget about items like doors, insulations, and electrical. The best estimate how much NEEDS to be rebuilt is everything, other than foundational concrete, 1ft above the estimated water line should be replaced. If you only got a few inches of water you may only need insulation, drywall patch, paint, trim, and flooring. If you were severely hit and had several feet of you water expect to replace everything from the slab to the ceiling.

    When should I call?

Answer: Immediately. So far, we haven’t felt had any price gouging or stock shortages. The process, from start to finish, will be a bit longer than the typical remodeling time frame. There will be multiple quotes, drawings, permits, and paperwork for you to do. If you haven’t yet received, at least, an estimate for your home please call us immediately so we can get rolling. We look forward to helping in way we can.
